Chapel Hill Micro Dwelling is an approach of a sustainable environment in a densely car populated zone giving maximum functionality and accessibility varied by different approaches of contemporary living. The Dwelling is composed of communal spaces and living/working units. The communal spaces is identified by a free ground floor with parking spots for bikes and “zip cars”, “horizontal ramps” surrounding the building giving easier accessibility to pedestrians, bikes, as well as handicap friendly giving a rich environment with the surrounding vegetation facade that serves the fruits and vegetable cultivation absorbing dust granting air purification. The ramp leads to a rooftop terrace with water ponds that work floored dwelling offers unique living/ working units emphasising the horizontal spaces, thus giving maximum functionality and accessibility through layers of transparency of wooden/glazed walls.
The Micro-dwelling offers a unique standard of sustainable inhabiting that engages social/communal interaction in a healthy self/sufficient environment.
